Working Committee Spatial Reference (AK RB)

The AK RB has the task of defining and providing uniform nationwide spatial reference products for all users in administration, industry and society. This is part of the basic infrastructural services as well as the legal mandate of the German surveying and mapping authorities.

Structured product development

• Evaluation and update of the guideline for the uniform integrated geodetic spatial reference
• Participation in DIN and ISO/TC 172/SC 6 “Geodetic and Surveying Instruments”
• Exchange of information and collaboration with research, teaching (including DGK) and business
• Use of new measurement methods in geodetic spatial reference
• Use of SAR interferometry in conjunction with other geodetic measurement methods
• Participation in DIN NA 005-03-02 AA “Photogrammetry and remote sensing” for the standard 18740 “Radar interferometry”
• Concept of kinematic spatial reference

Sustainable quality management

• Monitoring, data analysis in accordance with the guidelines for the uniform integrated geodetic spatial reference of the official surveying and mapping in the Federal Republic of Germany and documentation (including AdV statistics)
• Quality assurance system for the fixed point data of official surveying and mapping
• Participation in European and international harmonization of geodetic reference systems (including EUREF)
• Implementation and evaluation of the “GNSS measurement campaign”
