GeoInfoDoc

The surveying and cadastral administrations of the Laender have the task of providing spatial basic data (geobase data) for administration, business and private users. For this purpose, the documentation for modeling the geoinformation of the official surveying system (GeoInfoDoc) was created.

This refers to the introduction of GeoInfoDoc up to version 6.0.1 AAA model always to a coherent definition consisting of one Application schema , which is written in the UML modeling language. It consists of the basic schema and the thematic schema.

  • In a thematic-neutral way Basic schema basic properties of geo-objects are described. It can therefore also serve as a basis for any themartic information system.
  • In the Thematic schema the structure of object classes, object type groups, object types and their attributes is described. It includes all information contained in the official surveying of all Laender in the areas of cadastre, topography/cartography and geodetic reference surveying.

As part of the update to the new GeoInfoDoc, the data model was modularized. Until then, the term GeoInfoDoc will refer to all modeling of official surveying data, including the application schemas in addition to the AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS application schema, e. g. the land cover. Since the application schemas are versioned indepenently, the GeoInfoDoc has no version number or date for itself.

AdV reference version

Since January 1, 2024, the AdV reference version 7.1 includes the corresponding version of the AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS application schema (AAA-AS), here version 7.1.2, including the associated object type catalogs for the individual model type identifiers, the schema files and the "Overall Concept" document.

Revision management of GeoInfoDoc

For consultations and suggestions regarding the GeoInfoDoc, the following are available from the project team "Revision GeoInfoDoc":

The GeoInfoDok AdV revision list is managed as AAA® tickets in a web-based ticket system “AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS-Revision”. The change requests are classified in a three-tier system in order to be able to assign the respective revision report to a future version of the GeoInfoDoc.

The ticket system is intuitive to use. For further questions (e. g. registration), an additional guide has been created, which you can access in the ticket system under the menu item "Documents".

Note on using the Enterprise Architect project:

The EAP file published here can be processed with the Enterprise Architect (EA) software up to and including version 15.2. For the use of EA version 16, an EA project with the new “QEA” format is available in another ZIP archive.

The company Sparx Systems offers a new viewer (EA Viewer (Read-Only) Version 16.1) on its homepage for passing on UML models to interested parties.

AdV test suite

Checking the data quality of the spatial reference data is an essential prerequisite for comprehensive quality management and is necessary for harmonised, nation-wide and central provision of the data.

For this purpose, the AdV test suite for XML documents was developed according to the reference version of GeoInfoDoc 6.0.1 and 7.1 and released as open source software.

The bodies that want to use the AdV test suite operationally for quality testing (e. g. the member administrations and central offices of the AdV or the LA Geobasis, local authorities, other public surveying bodies, software manufacturers, etc.) can, if interested, obtain the access data for downloading the installation files and documentation from the AdV test suite technical operations center. You must bear the costs for the necessary IT infrastructure and the other requirements for local operation.
