The plenary deals with technical matters of fundamental and nationwide importance and passes resolutions to create uniform regulations.
The chair fulfills the mandates of the plenary and ensures that the objectives of the AdV are continuously pursued and the tasks are implemented. He calls meetings and leads them. He also represents the AdV externally.
The AdV is supported by the AdV Executive Office, which represents the administrative level of the AdV.
Working Committees are formed to deal with special specialist topics and to relieve the burden on the plenary. The Working Committees, in turn, form project groups under their own responsibility to process the assigned tasks. In order to carry out specific tasks, Working Groups can also be formed by the plenary. The staffing of the AdV Committees (Working Committees, Project Groups, Working groups) comes from the ranks of the member administrations.
