The plenary introduces itself
The AdV Plenary includes 19 member authorities: the 16 Laender authorities responsible for official surveying and mapping as well as the three federal ministries of the interior, transport and defense. Guests at the plenary session include the German Geodetic Commission (DGK), representing geodetic academia and research, and the German Federal Working Group Sustainable Rural Development (ArgeLandentwicklung), representing the field of land consolidation.
The Plenary defines the technical and strategic orientation of the AdV and makes decisions of fundamental importance in order to achieve the objectives of the AdV.

- Representation of the interests of the official German official surveying and mapping at a European and international level
- Representation in numerous committees, in particular UN-GGIM, UNECE WPLA, ISO/TC211, OGC and EuroGeoGraphics

- Further development of the Central Office for House Coordinates and Building Polygons (ZSHH) into the Central Office for Real Estate Cadastre (ZSLK) in order to further expand the range of nationwide, consistent geospatial reference data from the real estate cadastre
6. Smart Mapping
- Agile development of a process for the largely automated creation of cartographic products at a central location based on geospatial reference data
