Central Office Geotopography

The Central Office Geotopography (ZSGT) provides digital nationwide geospatial reference data from the Federal Republic of Germany centrally to industry, science and administration as well as to all citizens. The ZSGT is operated by the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG). The licensing of the geospatial reference data is carried out on behalf of and under the conditions and product specifications of the Working Committee of the Surveying Authorities of the Laender of the Federal Republic of Germany (AdV).

The Laender data is checked at the BKG for formal completeness and format consistency and then merged. The quality of the geospatial reference data is transparently communicated to users in accompanying metadata and current update status.
